Level Requirements

Leveling on Sword Art Online: Genesis is based off of total Word Count this is true for both character levels and ability levels and they both follow the exact same scale as to make this easier. When you have built up word counts you can choose how you want to distribute them but the same amount cannot be used twice. This means if you have 250WC you can use it to train a skill OR raise your level, but not both. Just as you can have 500WC built up and use 250 in either. The scale is listed below.


Important: The same amount of WC will NOT be given when fighting monsters of lower level than you in a thread. This is to keep the game balanced and make Floor Bosses more effective. We dont want a level 20 player fighting the floor 1 boss as he could solo it. However you can still gain experience.

For every level over the mob you are fighting you gain 50% of the word count total for that post. So if you do a 500 word post against a level 2 and you are level 3 you get 250wc. The same is applied to all your skill training as well. Anything gained from a quest etc will still be the same.

Each Level adds an additional 250wc from the prior level to level up. So going from level 1-5 is 250+500+750+1000=2500wc total.
